Hi, I'm Caila!

Thanks for stopping by.

I’m an award-winning former network news producer turned author, bringing the storytelling skills I honed in the newsroom to the page. After graduating from Fordham University, I spent seventeen years chasing breaking and developing stories across the country for ABC News, most of them rooted in real people, real tension, and real emotion. Much of that time was dedicated to producing true crime documentaries for the acclaimed series 20/20, a role that taught me how to dig deep and tell stories that resonate.

Eventually, I stepped away from the fast-paced world of broadcast journalism to pursue a life-long dream: writing fiction. These days, that same passion for human-driven storytelling fuels my work in a new and equally rewarding way.

When I’m not writing, researching, or getting lost in a great book, you’ll usually find me on my yoga mat, trying to quiet my mind and recharge.

I was born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania, and while I’m proud to still call it home, my heart is happiest on a warm beach, under a palm tree.
